Shady man investigated for shadiness to the surprise of no one and the delight of everyone who hates Canada, which is everyone. Oh, this just got good.

interesting tidbit at the end of this story...
A source in Miami tells [KWCH, in Wichita, Kansas] Eyewitness Sports that it’s possible Randy Shannon, the head coach of the University of Miami, placed a call to the NCAA about Butler and Brown.

Vague allusions to Shannon...

does not make it true. Read carefully what that sentence says.

1 – “a source in MIami.” Doesn’t say at the school, with the program, or anything, just someone in Miami.

2 – “it’s possible Randy Shannon placed a call.” Anything is possible. It’s possible that Michael Irvin never did blow. It’s also possible that someone with the NCAA reads the NYT and thought, “hey, we should check this out.”

So what we really have is a “source” saying its possible that Randy made a phone call. That’s not news, it’s rampant speculation.

To be fair

It’s not possible that it’s possible Michael Irvin never did blow.

But yes. That said, if it was Shannon I would pee in my pants.
