Marve To Purdue

...at least, if you believe ESPN.  And this, my friends, is HILARIOUS

Because if you're so good that you shouldn't have to face competition at Quarterback U (we're still clinging to this, and we have no idea to what Kirby Freeman you refer), so good that you'd be able to start at an SEC school if only you were free to do so, so good that surely the only reason Oklahoma State isn't taking you is that a disgruntled coach is waging a campaign of lies and falsehoods against you...

Well, you shouldn't have to end up at Purdue.

Thank your dad for that.  He really earned it.

God help us

No guarantee he starts for us, either.

You know

I always thought to myself, because our upperclassmen were SO BAD, that if he had an actual offensive line and wasn’t subjected to a Patrick Nix offense, he might be great.

And I don’t mean this in a harsh way, but you guys aren’t USC, either.

So yeah…it’s mystifying. But he’s got upside. You’ll come out alright.

I know we're not USC

We’ll take what we can get when we’ve only been to two Rose Bowls ever and it took Bob Griese and Drew Brees to get to both.

At least we beat USC when we had Griese. It could be worse too. He could have joined Jimmy Montana at Notre Dame.

What I meant was

it’s sort of a lateral move. We’re not great, you’re not great…so what was the point?

Digruntled parents are a bitch.

Exactly

And we’ve been through the disgruntled parents thing before with Jeff George’s mom.

But after meeting for two consecutive days with athletic director Debbie Yow, Friedgen was given the go-ahead to make plans for a 10th season as coach at his alma mater.
