Canes take on Eagles at BankUnited Center

Miami v. Boston College
Tuesday, January 19, 2009 at 9:00 P.M.
Bank United Center
TV:  RSN

The Canes will look to shake off a two game losing streak suffered in the State of Virginia against the Hokies (81 – 66) and Cavaliers (75 – 57) OUCH.  This will be the second time the Canes square off against the Eagles after losing to them 61-60 on December 9, 2009 in Boston. Look for Malcolm Grant to have a big game against them again (18 points previously) and for Canes to improve  their rebounding (46-21 in favor of BC).

How do you manage to lose this game? Embarrasing.

Dunno

They just seem unprepared. Started fast unlike at Virginia and Tech but couldn’t close.

I’m sick of Frank Haith already. What you see is what you get with that guy. This team is the same every year. Can’t win on the road. Always has trouble closing out teams. I’ve seen both BC games and we should have beaten their asses twice. They are garbage. They’ve lost to Harvard, Rhode Island, and Maine for God’s sake.

We were up 17 and killing them inside with Collins and Johnson. So, Al Skinner adjusts and goes to a smaller lineup and Frank Haith has no answer whatsoever. I’ve had it with this guy, seriously. Yeah, he’s a pretty good recruiter but he’s a crap coach. He’s lucky that he had Jack McClinton to bail him out for 3 years.

I miss Leonard Hamilton so much =*(.

Yeah me too

And has Frank Haith every out anyone in the league? Jack McClinton was like Phlilip Rivers to Amato – once they were gone, well, they are exposed. You seem to know alot about basketball. I look forward to learning from you

=)

Nah, just have been watching and playing sports since I was little. I’m more of a football guy than anything else. Thank you very much for the compliment, though.

To answer your question, Guillermo Diaz and Robert Hite were in the NBA for a little while. But those guys were brought in my Perry Clark, if I’m not mistaken. Can’t remember anyone else.

I, mean, I don’t hate Frank Haith or anything and I commend what he has done with the program but I thought we were sooo close to being consistently good with Leonard Hamilton and I just don’t think Haith can do what Leonard did (or is doing at FSU). Just look at how many guys are being drafted from Hamilton.

SO I guess the burning question would be

where do you think our program would have gone if Leonard Hamilton had stayed?

by CGNC on Jan 20, 2010 4:21 PM EST up reply actions

If Hamilton never left, I think we’d be a perennial tournament team and a consistent top 25 team.

Which I would take in a heartbeat. I don’t think we’ll ever be a national title contender or anything unless, of course, we get enough money to hire a John Calipari or Rick Pitino.

Being a perennial tournament team

would have meant that we maybe would have had a better shot at John Wall

by CGNC on Jan 21, 2010 1:15 PM EST up reply actions

Maybe because Leonard Hamilton is an awesome recruiter but I think Wall was going to go wherever John Calipari went. That guy’s the biggest cheater ever.

Tough loss for the U

Best of luck the rest of the way.

Thanks but

we don’t look very good and I am not optimistic
