Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Scoring 45 in the first Period, Canes Struggle in 2nd

Leading by 17 points after the half, the Canes struggled to score in the second half with just 24 points scored with two minutes to go.  Unlike the two slow starts on the road at Virginia Tech and Virginia, Miami started fast, only to fade in the second half at home.  Trailing 74-71 with 0:59 to go, Frank Haith called a time out to rally his team but defensively Miami was unable to stop Reggie Jackson (who averages 13 points a game) was able to get by Julian Gamble and score making it 76-71.  A late basket by Durand Scott made it 76-73 but BC was able to get to the free throw lane and cement their lead. February is looking like a really long month
