What We Need - Shane McDermott Come on Down
Props to Manny Navarro for the Shane McDermott Interview. Already benching 365 pounds and squatting 490 he received rave reviews at last month's UnderArmour All-State Game in Tampa.
I want to make an impact," McDermott answered when I asked him about his expectations for his freshman season. "Coach [Jeff] Stoutland told us if you come in and you perform, we'll play you. We aren't scared to put a freshman in that position. I've let him know I'm not scared to be in that position."
Hopefully the new rotation of O-lineman will keep Jacory Harris from having to hire a personal injury attorney.

i was trying to tell this to people on other, more uneducated, message boards
our offensive line is going to be WAY BETTER next year even though we are losing three seniors. we’re subbing out (mild) experience (fox excepted) for supreme talent. i guarantee that if malcom bunche had been on the team last year, that he would’ve taken over for pipho at some point during the season. i think he’ll win the RT job (if not him then ben jones & if not him then brandon linder) and we’ll be way better off for it. mcdermott definitely seems like a fox-type starer from day one. the o-line will be fine, esp on the left side where franklin & washington are utter beasts.

I love Washington.
That is all.

LOL I certainly hope so
My concern is beginning to be Stoutland – if next season’s group isn’t any better…..then…….I dunno. Alot of O-line is technique from what I gather (never played it myself – LOL). Poor Pipho – he was the “human turnstile” wasn’t he?
