not sure if anyone cares about this basketball game vs maryland

but this team is pretty much unwatchable. i feel like i'm watching middle schoolers playing pick up. can't remember the last time we ran a play or even seemed like we were trying to run a play. they just never look like they are ready to play.

not sure why this needs to be 75 words so dfldja sfasf adsf asdfa fwrq dfhgb gfb dsf asdf ert gwteg  d DSf sf sdg tg wes fd fds d fg rtg fg s fdgsfd r gsfd.

durand scott

it would be nice if he could shoot, but regardless he should be driving once every two possessions.

so much unnecessary anguish in my life

i don't even understand why i care

i really don’t. if it wasn’t for jack mcclinton i might have long ago been ridden of this nonsense BUT THESE SHACKLES REMAIN

Sorry I am late

I care about the basketball team and baseball team but there are some serious issues. Are Milborn and Vasquez beating the tar out of us?

relying on the 3's

whatever happened to driving inside and drawing a foul?

I like to remind myself

that they were expected to struggle without Jack.

BUT STILL.

Not to mention

Jimmy Graham he was good on D and at rebounds – well, at least BETTER THAN THIS

LMAO

A commercial for Life Alert – Haith’s team could use that!

by CGNC on Jan 26, 2010 8:27 PM EST reply actions

i honestly thought we might be better this year

because we were gaining two actual — and good PGs — and dwayne collins might step it up etc etc but obviously not. and the thing is, they aren’t this bad!! it just looks like they don’t know how to play. i can’t even explain it. nothing is ever easy for this team. every made basket feels like reaching the top of everest.

hey CGNC!

I agree with the statement that this team is unwatchable.

Maybe Hocutt needs to start compiling a list.

I like Haith as a recruiter, but as a coach I’m starting to wonder. There’s too much talent on this team to look like this.

I was just wondering

- and really, I’m not qualified to evaluate college basketball coaches - but wondering if a change is made (and I doubt it will be), how the athletic department would prioritize MBB. Are they content to shoot for the NCAA? Want to make the tourney every year? Want to be contending for final fours/ACCs/NCs? It’s hard to imagine the latter, though I think Miami could get there, recruiting wise, if they could get some traction. Miami’s an attractive place.

TGB

U are a menace – LOL. I have thought for awhile that the administration is content with contending for ACC champ in football. Not a fan of Shalala here. Who knows what they think about basketball

by CGNC on Jan 26, 2010 8:54 PM EST up reply actions

i was thinking tonight

in my deep despair of course, BUT I DID THINK “what is the point of this basketball team? what is attempting to be accomplished here? they really have to pay for these kids to go on the road 4 more times?” i mean, i think that the school could reasonably expect to shoot for the ncaa tourney 3 out of 4 years. it’s just weird that they’re getting more talent (significantly more, in fact) and are just moving totally backwards.

by rayrayrayrayrayrayrayray on Jan 26, 2010 8:57 PM EST up reply actions

in that case

Haith will probably be here forever.

Hey glad you made it MM01

TGB and rayray meet MM01. This is really baaaaaad.

Scout is even worse.

Somehow rumors become facts there and everyone is a drooling idiot.

Well, there’s like three decent people. I’ll give them that.

I can't anymore...

UM’s going to have to string some wins together for me to tune back in.
But I seriously have my doubts.

CGNC, question? How old is the new arena? It can’t be THAT old. So, I assume, they think highly of having a competitive hoops team.

by miamimike01 on Jan 26, 2010 8:57 PM EST reply actions

BankUnited Center

was originally the Miami Convocation Center built on campus in 2002 and opened January 4, 2003. Before that facility existed the Miami basketball team played in The Miami Arena

it's really not all that hard

to go 8-8 in the ACC. but next year we’re going to be excluded from the big 10-acc challenge!

by rayrayrayrayrayrayrayray on Jan 26, 2010 9:12 PM EST reply actions

BUT

Virginia wasn’t that good last year and they have really improved this year or seem to

by CGNC on Jan 26, 2010 9:15 PM EST reply actions

yeah that was the one game that made me super depressed

because they have one pretty good player and they just looked like they were on a much, much higher plane than us. like they ran plays and had guys getting open shots and stuff. their coach was amazing at wash st tho so.

by rayrayrayrayrayrayrayray on Jan 26, 2010 9:19 PM EST up reply actions

Are we that bad

that we make everyone else look so much better? Jeepahs wasn’t I saying that about our defense in the fall?

by CGNC on Jan 26, 2010 9:21 PM EST up reply actions

I am out

see you around peeps

by CGNC on Jan 26, 2010 9:26 PM EST reply actions
