Miami Hurricanes at Virginia Tech Hokies, Mar 12, 2010 2:27 PM EST

Rayrayrayrayrayrayrayray: "Frank Haith, post-game."
Miami Hurricanes (19-12, 4-12) vs. Virginia Tech Hokies (23-7, 10-6)
Time: now
Date: Friday, March 12, 2010
Place: Greensboro Coliseum (23,500), Greensboro, NC
TV: Raycom Sports/ESPN2
Radio: XM 190
Online: Raycom/ESPN360.com

The Hokies will open the ACC tournament against Miami for the third consecutive year. Miami will probably lose, but yesterday we learned our lesson. The two teams split their regular season meetings.
TV Coverage: If you live in the ACC geographic footprint, you will have to watch the game on your local Raycom affiliate or on Raycom.Swarmcast.com. The game will be blacked out on ESPN2 and ESPN360.com. If you live outside of the ACC, you can watch on ESPN2 or ESPN360.com.
Note: We stole all this info from Gobbler Country. If it's wrong, blame them.

UM has never won two games in one conference tournament.
and we already have four turnovers.

Hey, within 8!
(which is a third of the Hokies’ total)

dequan jones
might be the most maddening athlete ever i’ve ever watched at UM in any sport. we’ve had tons of people who have never come close to reaching their potential and have had tons of players who showed flashes of quality but never put it wholly together. i’m not sure if i’ve ever seen us have a player who either does something totally incredible or unspeakably retarded with nothing in between.

trying to remember the last time I felt that way about a football player...
we’ve had so many in just the latter category lately.

i was thinking of sam shields
but it would be hard to call anything that he ever did “totally incredible”

UM’s 10 first half turnovers already two more than they had in the upset of Wake Forest.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

the prominent positive role being played in this game by dequan jones & cyrus mcgowan
is if like one day in 2005 george bush & dick cheney woke up and were all “hey we’re going to stop torture and legalize gay marriage and enact universal health care.” i think my reactions would be similar.
by rayrayrayrayrayrayrayray on Mar 12, 2010 3:07 PM EST reply actions
those reactions would be/are
utter bafflement, reserved joy, a crushing angst that it’s all a mirage

I seriously love that Raycom's halftime sponser is Hardees.
This is what we’ve become.

wait
hardee’s is not nearly as _ of a sponsor as BOJANGLES, which is their other fast food sponsor

A win tomorrow would mean
that UM basketball reaches the ACC Championship Game before UM football. Which is equal parts amazing and awful.
YEAH
Suck it redneck U!
