The day has finally come, Canes fans. It's National Signing Day. The day where kids make their dreams come true, and crush those of adults they will never meet. We here at T7F have set up this thread so that if you are sitting at work with plenty to do and no desire to do it, you can come here and join the discussion! Hit the jump to get the info!
UPDATE 9 - Jawand Blue has a Cane offer in hand and has long said he will sign if he gets one. Well, he's got one, and within 30 minutes or so will fax it in.
UPDATE 8 - Davante Bourque has chosen to stay at Tennessee. Looks like Brisoce did what he could, but it was not going to happen.
UPDATE 7 - Dequan Ivery has picked the Canes, and Dorial Green-Beckham has picked Mizzou.
UPDATE 6 - Brandon Holifield, a TE with 1 year of football experience, announced he will not sign anywhere today, and Miami is now out of the running. No details on why.
UPDATE 5 - Eddie Goldman signs with FSU. Miami was an extreme longshot here, but FSU is doing big things on the defensive side of the ball.
UPDATE 4 - Tracy Howard has signed with Miami!!! HUGE HUGE GET! He will join Crawford and Bush in the defensive backfield. All three have VERY good chances of starting.
UPDATE 3 - Josh Harvey-Clemons has signed with UGA. Not surprising in the least, as most people had him going Dawgs the whole way.
UPDATE 2 - Unfortunately, it appears that Reggie Northrup has flipped to FSU. While not wholly unexpected, it is still a shame. This does potentially mean that Jawand Blue (currently a VT commit) will get his offer and choose the Canes!
Things are going to get started early this morning, with probably the biggest name left for the Canes announcing his decision at 9am. Tracy Howard will make his final pick, and will either make Canes fans very VERY happy, or will break our hearts. News leading up to this morning has been favorable, but that never means anything when it comes to recruiting.
Also on the board will be Avery Young, Davante Bourque, Jawand Blue, Dequan Ivery, and Josh Harvey-Clemons. All of these kids would be amazing additions to the current class, but obviously landing all of them would just be ridiculous. Out of those guys, the best shots are probably Young and Bourque, with Blue being a close second.
Not listed above is Reggie Northrup, because he is still currently a Cane commit. However, he will be making his final decision today as well, and hopefully will be sticking to his guns and remaining a Cane. His other spots include FSU, UNC, Arkansas and Clemson.
With all that being said, check the comments for the updates provided by myself, Craig T, and Ray^8.

for those wondering about the size of this class
we had 9 early enrollees, which means we expect to sign 23 today, under the per-year cap. the only question is the potential for being over the 85 scholly limit, but attrition should take care of that

Miami has added 3 QB's (Dewey, Thompson and Crow)
to complement Williams and Morris. great depth.
We also have added 2 RB’s in the class, and news a few days ago that former DB Dallas Crawford was moved to RB as well.

i’m not really a fan of any of those QBs, and i doubt thompson plays much, if any, football at UM
getting a big time QB recruit is the absolute number one priority for the 2013 class, imo

Basically, Golden has killed it this year in recruiting
in the face of NCAA sanctions, he has added about 25 kids plus 9 early enrollees, added depth at almost every position, and stocked the roster very well to help balance the schollys that will be lost.

7 early enrollee
and 25 today. Golden doesnt strike me as an oversigner/gray-shirter….the would be kinda scummy
Northrup and Holifield were included in that 32
they have both since signed elsewhere. we had 9 early enrollees total. i dont know exact numbers, but if anything, we may be 1 or 2 over the 85 scholly limit, but we have until june to get under it, and attrition will help with that.

it’s not worth the headache counting scholarship numbers. nothing is set in stone right now, and no one really has any idea what any coaching staff is going to do b/w now and the summer to get under the limit. it could mean walk ons losing spots, it could mean prep school, it could mean transfers… it’s just totally outside of what anyone can figure out.
